Once I had everything transferred over to LastPass, then I did a second grand tour of each website changing my password to a LastPass generated one based upon the rules of the website to make it the maximum length and difficulty.
This is what I did back when I got LastPass. As you log in to each site, Lastpass will offer to save your credentials.
